Seeking Friendly Visitors

The Friendly Visitor Ministry is a social service program which began in August, 2001 under the direction and guidance of Sr. Patricia Kelly, M.S.B.T. Our Friendly Visitors call on the homebound either at their residence, in their independent living facility, or in a nursing home. At present there are six (6) active visitors in our parish who live the Gospel by visiting lonely Parishioners on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly schedule, whatever is appropriate and convenient for them. We are in need of more Visitors! If this type of ministry sounds appealing to you, please consider calling the Parish Outreach Coordinator, Joan Lampart at 215-679-9275, or Friendly Visitor Leader LaRue Emmell at 215-679-3086. We will be happy to answer your questions.

For more information, please visit the Friendly Visitor page.

Why not volunteer to help at our parish breakfast

The Monthly Breakfast has expanded its menu and therefore is in need of cooks, line personnel, and dish washers.  We in particular need help with cleanup at the end of the breakfast which concludes at 12:30 PM.  If you can help, contact Rita at 215-679-7009 or Shirley at 215-679-9275.

Kitchen Helpers Needed for Bingo

Will you help?  Help is needed in the kitchen for monthly Bingo to assist in anyway possible.  The time would be 11:45 am to 4:00 pm in the Parish Hall Kitchen.

Call Rita Latshaw for more information at: 215.679.7009.

Keep in mind you would only have to help once every four months.

Remember Friendly Visitors????

They are friendly and they visit. They visit parishioners who don’t get out very often, or who have no family, nearby; they visit people who just want someone to talk with.

If you feel you can do this, or if you feel that God may be calling you to this as part of your Baptismal Call to service, please contact LaRue Emmell: 215.679.3086 OR Sister Patricia Kelly, M.S.B.T.: 215.679.2282. A short Orientation is necessary.

Welcome Ministry –  Why not join this ministry and welcome newly registered parishioners to St. Philip Neri Parish. A welcome letter is sent to each new parishioner, as a volunteer you would follow up with a phone call to offer information and answer questions about the various activities and ministries in the Parish.
