The SPN Senior Club held its monthly gathering on Wednesday, November 15th with 115 attending. We celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday with a traditional turkey dinner and lots of desserts.
Along with the holiday celebration, we also honored our living and deceased veterans. Many of our members brought pictures of family members and a Table of Honor displayed the photos of the service men & women. The Pennsylvania National Guard from Southampton Rd. in Philadelphia provided a color guard for this beautiful and moving tribute. Also, Alyssa McQuirns from the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage center gave a presentation of ‘The Poppy – Symbol of Remembrance.’
The November birthday winner was Kim Jacobs and Theresa Gilmore won the 50/50 drawing.
Our next gathering will be Wednesday, December 13th. Please join us and enjoy the sounds of the Seraphims from St. Mary’s Catholic School. More information is in the Parish bulletin so don’t forget to make your reservation.
